Movie-watchers are divided by Hollywood’s The Menu, with some slamming it to be “too twisted” as others call it “movie of the year”.

However, as the evening unfolds, the couple and the restaurant guests are presented with some sinister surprises, and tensions start to rise.
The film landed on streaming services like DisneyPlus and HBO Max on January 4, and viewers have since been divided, with some calling the movie the “film of the year” and others branding it a “nightmare.”
“What a seriously twisted movie #TheMenu…Freak,” tweeted one person, while another penned: “#TheMenu is simply exquisite. This delightfully twisted tale of a night at a restaurant where all is not what it appears has some wonderfully dark comedy and excellent performances. Film of the year *Chefs kiss*.”
A third commented: “The Menu on HBO Max is dark and twisted but quite good,” while one avid fan wrote: “#TheMenu is twisted as hell, but I love it.”

However, some fans aired their grievances with the movie and admitted that the “twistedness” was just a little too much.
“I just watched The Menu, and it was just not for me. Way too freaky,” penned one fan, as another wrote: “WTF was The Menu? It just didn’t make sense.”
A third commented: “Waste of time watching The Menu. Two hours I’ll never get back,” followed by a fourth who added: “The Menu, meh, seen better.”
Anya and X-Men star Nicholas Hoult play the young couple, Margot and Tyler, while Harry Potter’s Ralph Fiennes stars as the restaurant’s eccentric chef, Julian Slowik.
Nicholas Hoult told Digital Spy: “I’m not smart enough to see at all where it was going, I was really enjoying the ride.
“I was like, ‘What is this?’ and then, that was really fun getting to the end and I was like, ‘Ah, I didn’t see any of that, this all makes sense.'”
