Actor Will Mellor says Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps could return to TV – to cheer up Britain’s ‘struggling’ working class.
A script has already been written for a new series of the hit BBC2 comedy which ran for a decade from 2001.
Will, 46, who starred with pal Ralf Little, told the Daily Star it is set to comeback for a final series called Two Pints: Last Orders.

He said it could put a smile on the faces of everyone struggling with the cost of living crisis.
Will – who was spotted enjoying a day out at the Cheltenham Festival last week – said: “Two Pints represented the working class who are really struggling at the moment.
“The reason why it lasted so long is because people loved it. We have got a script – Two Pints: Last Orders.
“If they wanted to make it I would do it just to say thank you for all the support to the people who loved the show.”
Will hinted another network may step in to take on the show.
“Maybe, I don’t know,” he said. “I just keep my head above water.
“I’m a self-employed actor so we’ve got to keep moving with the times and keep doing what you have to do. It’s a show that I loved and it was a massive part of my life and a big part of other people’s lives.
“Nostalgia is a big thing as well so why not bring it back? Even if it’s for a little one-off like they did with Gavin & Stacey.”
Since the show finished Will has starred in Broadchurch, Coronation Street and reached a Strictly semi-final.
He has also continued working with The Royle (corr) Family star Ralf, 43, with whom he completed three series of a hit podcast.
“It was all positive and good for mental health,” he said.
“I went through a bit of a bad time losing my dad and it was a place I could talk about it and anyone listening who is going through time realising we’re all in this together.
“We don’t know what’s around the corner. We’ve just got to put one thing in front of the other.”
