A Place In The Sun star Jonnie Irwin’s will unveiled as he leaves fortune to wife

A Place In The Sun star Jonnie Irwin’s will has been unveiled.

The star, who passed away in February this year, has left his wife almost £1million in his will. The Channel 4 star became a household name after starring in the likes of A Place in the Sun and Escape To The Country.

Jonnie battled with cancer for almost four years before he sadly lost his battle earlier this year. His will shows that he left his entire £953,000 estate to his wife Jessica Irwin.

According to The Sun, Jonnie had £956,967 in assets, which was then reduced to £953,425 after deductions. The family first announced his death on his Instagram page alongside a heartfelt message.

It read: “In Loving Memory. It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Jonnie’s passing. A truly remarkable soul, he fought bravely against cancer with unwavering strength and courage.”

“Jonnie touched the lives of so many with his kindness, warmth, and infectious spirit. At this time, we kindly ask for the privacy of Jonnie’s family as they navigate through this profound loss. Their grief is immeasurable, and your thoughts, prayers, and support are deeply appreciated.”

“As we remember the beautiful moments shared with Jonnie, let us celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will forever be etched in our hearts. Jonnie may be gone from our sight, but his love, laughter, and memories will live on. Rest in peace, dear Jonnie. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.”

His wife Jessica also previously opened up about how painful it was to watch Jonnie slowly deteriorate due to his condition. In June, she opened up and said: “You hear people say, ‘He passed away peacefully. It was lovely’, but it wasn’t for Jonnie. It was a f*** awful process. I wish I hadn’t seen it but I had to be with him. I kept saying to the nurses who were there with us, ‘What do I do? What do I do?’ and they said, ‘You can’t do anything. Just stay with him.'”
