Emotional Alesha Dixon was left sobbing after watching one Britain’s Got Talent act perform.
The 45-year-old star was back on the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli and Amanda Holden for the second episode of the new series of the ITV competition on Sunday (April 21) night.
Ravi’s Dream Team, a choir made up of people ranging from aged five to 78, performed a rendition of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman soundtrack.

However, before they got the chance to sing, it was revealed that BGT fan Ravi, eight, was diagnosed with a brain tumour two years ago and wanted to show others battling the disease can do whatever they wanted. He explained: “I’ve watched BGT all my life and always wanted to audition for it. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and I’m here to show no matter what life throws you can still achieve your dreams.”

He was joined on stage by his friends, family, teachers and medical professionals who have helped him since his diagnosis. After watching their impressive performance, Alesha reached to press the famous golden buzzer which means that the choir will go straight through to the live semi-finals later this month.
The former Mis-Teeq band member was visibly overcome with emotion and was left sobbing with tears rolling down her face. Explaining why she pressed the buzzer, Alesha said: “The golden buzzer is such a personal thing and I always say I can only press it when it feels right and you’re such a remarkable young man.”

After revealing her reason for pushing the button, Alesha was seen being given a hug by co-star Simon. It comes after Amanda was criticised by fans after giving a stage performer got a golden buzzer. Sydnie Christmas had the judges raving over her incredible performance of Tomorrow from Annie.
She got a standing ovation from all four judges as she was covered in golf confetti after Amanda Holden elected to send her straight through to the semi-final.
But viewers were up in arms, claiming Sydnie’s performing background has given her an unfair advantage over less experienced acts. One wrote on X: “No way. She’s either got an album out already or has been signed somewhere. Sydnie is pro already I reckon.” Another posted: “Why did Sydnie get a Golden Buzzer. She’s a professional for goodness sake.”

However, others felt she was worthy of the honour. One emotional fan said: “I cried through her amazing performance. Wow…and she even converted Simon! She’s got the charm to go with that spectacular voice. Good for her. Sydnie Christmas is a star.”
A second posted: “Sydnie Christmas….take a chuffin bow. WOW.” Another shared: “Sydnie was so amazing and her voice was so incredible and beautiful.” Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly also dished out their golden buzzer to South Korean taekwondo act.
