BGT fans demand ‘stop’ as repetitive show element leaves viewers fuming

Britain’s Got Talent has come under fire yet again, as fans demanded producers to stop playing music from the film, The Greatest Showman.

Judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Amanda Holden were back for another jaw-dropping episode on ITV. With presenters Ant and Dec at the helm, the show gave fans a chance to see a multitude of talent take to the stage.

But viewers quickly became irritated when they noticed the show was following a familiar pattern to previous episodes. At the end of comedian Kevin Finn’s act who sailed through to the next round after his funny performance, viewers heard another song from The Greatest Showman being played.

Heading over to X in their droves, fans begged for it to stop. One social media user said: “#BGT see if I hear ONE MORE GREATEST SHOWMAN SONG BETWEEN NOW AND 8:55 I WILL ACTUALLY GET THE TRAIN FROM GLASGOW TO LONDON TO CHANGE THE SONG.”

Another penned: “Do they not have access to any other songs apart from The Greatest Showman soundtrack? Spice it up a bit.”

A third said: “Playing the greatest showman again! Ffs.” While a fourth added: “The amount of royalties this show must pay out to the greatest showman every bloody week.”

Elsewhere on the show, viewers were left confused as another act received a golden buzzer from judge Simon. Skating act, Duo Stardust who are a married couple from Ukraine left the judges and viewers alike speechless as they skated on a platform but later suspended into the air.

Seeing their impressive moves, the studio audience were left in shock. Once the performance came to an end, the audience begged the judges to hit the golden buzzer.

Simon listened to the roaring crowd and hit the buzzer. But for many who were unaware that the golden buzzers are now unlimited- they were evidently baffled.

Simon Cowell pressed the golden buzzer again

Taking to X again one fan wrote: “Simon pressing the golden buzzer again. How many do they get these days. Normally one per judge.”

Another viewer asked: “How many golden buzzers are given?” as a third viewer echoed: “How many golden buzzers have #bgt given now? Feels like every other act is a golden buzzer.”
