BGT winner Sydnie Christmas has put plans to become a mum on hold to achieve her dream of topping the music charts.

“The plan was to settle down, start a family, become a mum and have some stability.

“Winning BGT has kind of changed all that because all I’ve ever wanted to do is sing.

“I now want to set myself up with a successful singing career, so I can settle down with a family in the not so distant future.

“I still definitely want kids and a family.

“I realise my body clock is ticking. I’m 29 so hopefully I have more time but you never know.”

Sydnie also revealed that she and Max hoped to marry.

The singing sensation said: “We’ll probably marry as well but having a family together is more important to us.

“We live together so we are both having to get used to this crazy rollercoaster I’m on.

“But I wouldn’t let my career ruin our relationship. There’s no way. He’s been incredibly supportive and I love him way too much.”

Sydnie released her debut album My Way on Friday.

Tickets for her 2025 headline UK Tour are now also on sale.

She added: “In may I was working as a gym receptionist.

“I was about to give up on my dreams because I was a heartbroken wreck after years of rejection.

“I still can’t quite believe I’m releasing my debut album.

“I don’t need glitz and glamour and fame, which is all lovely.

“All I want is to be able to keep singing, do what I love, and be happy.”

My Way is out now.
