Simon Cowell was mocked by Britain’s Got Talent fans for saying the “same thing every year”.
The 64-year-old music mogul found himself in hot water with viewers at home after they claimed he made the very “same” statement about the ITV programme last year. Some online goers even demanded for the BGT judge to be recorded for future shows to come.
As the final got to about the half-way point point the head panel member kept on saying: “This is honestly the best final I think that I can remember.” But fans were convinced this isn’t anything unusual.

Taking to the social media platform X – formerly known as Twitter – they blasted the X Factor creator over his remark. One comment read: “Can someone record that Simon said this is the best final he can remember, because I’m certain he said it last year, and will say it again next year. Bored. #bored #bgt #britaintsgottalent.”
Another person chimed in with: “Simon says the exact same thing every year ‘the best final’ #BGT,” while a third echoed: “Simon, you are mad. This isn’t the best. It’s one of the worst.”
Others added: “Best final ever? I’ve seen better in Butlins #BGT,” and “Simon talking out of his a*** #bgt.” However, it did seem that some viewers were in agreement with the businessman.
“This is one of the best finals in a long long time #BGT,” said one person as another agreed: “This is genuinely the best #BGT final i’ve seen. i love so many acts.”
Meanwhile, it seemed the final didn’t get off to a great start. Within minutes fans were complaining about the boo-noises coming from the audience.
It appeared that every time judge Bruno Tonioli stood up to speak there was an uproar from the crowd. Fans at home were not impressed with the loud noise as they complained the “final was ruined” and begged for a “sound team” to intervene.
Using the BGT hashtag, one person penned: “The Bruno chants may ruin #BGT 2024 it’s so annoying.” Another agreed, adding: “Can someone turn down the audience? The noise each time Bruno speaks is deafening.” While a third said: “I’m bored of these boo’s every time bruno talks, it’s ruining the programme.”
