Britney Spears celebrates ‘little things’ after Justin Timberlake’s shock arrest

Britney Spears is celebrating “the little things” in life, following the shocking DWI arrest of her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.

The 42-year-old pop princess took to Instagram on Tuesday (June 18) to share a glimpse of her current Las Vegas escapade. She posted a picture of her fruity cocktail with the caption: “It’s the little things you know!!!!”

Britney also shared a snap of her legs crossed as she lounged by the pool. In another social media post, the singer showcased flirty dresses from her hotel room before hitting the town in Sin City.

In the snaps, Britney first modelled a busty white dress with neon green piping. Her next outfit was a silky gold maxi dress with lace detailing on the cleavage area.

These posts came just hours after news broke of Justin’s arrest. Meanwhile a 2007 video of Timberlake seemingly advising Britney to “stop drinking” has since gone viral following his drunk driving arrest.

The clip shows Timberlake, 43, accepting a Brit Award via a pre-recorded speech. He could be heard saying: “Stop drinking. You know who you are. I’m speaking to you. Stop drinking, you’re going to get sloppy. OK! its going to say something bad about you.”

At the time of his comments, Spears was under intense scrutiny and famously shaved her head just two days after the awards show. However, Justin later clarified in a GQ interview that his comments were not directed at his ex.

A spokesperson for the Cry Me A River singer told Fox News at the time that he was merely referring to “people in the crowd, no one in particular.” Despite this, many have interpreted his remarks as being about Britney, especially after the video resurfaced following his own DWI arrest.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the video, with one person tweeting: “And 17 years later, it ended up being him eating his own words, you reap what you sow.” Another posted: “As we learned from the religious, hypocrites make the very best scolds.”

Another added: “That didn’t age well.” Britney and Justin dated from 1999 to 2002.

In recent years, Justin has faced backlash from Britney fans, particularly after the release of her 2023 memoir, The Woman In Me. The book revealed shocking details about their relationship, including claims that he pressured her to have an abortion when she fell pregnant and portrayed her as a “harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy.”
