Captain Lee details ‘senseless’ murder at sea as he says families can ‘never recover’

Captain Lee is delving into true crime for his new show Deadly Waters – and it features some “senseless” killings.

The star, who first found fame on Below Deck, has switched over from reality TV to true crime for the new show. Deadly Waters With Captain Lee launched earlier this month, and already it has dealt with some truly horrific murders.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Lee Rosbach revealed one case the show deals with really stuck out to him. He said: “It was the fact that it was so senseless that this person had to die, and they died at an early age.

“It gave you a glimpse into how the sociopaths’ mind not works, but maybe doesn’t work. Because they absolutely have no conscience, and that’s something that most of us can’t imagine.

“We can’t imagine somebody that just does something wrong, and to them it’s like drinking a cup of coffee. They just done care, one way or the other.”

He went on: “When you’re faced with that, you have to look at it, and when you peel the layers of the onion back, it gets pretty ugly.”

While the show largely deals with murders, each episode has a very different feel due to the nature of the killings. Lee said: “It runs such a wide gamut of crimes and some you would think would you be open and shut, no problem here, got this one nailed.

“Then all of a sudden it takes a turn, and another player comes in and you go, ‘Where did this person come from and what do they have to do with it, how do they play into this overall picture? Then as it goes along you find out more and more.

“Then, right when you think that you get it nailed, that’s the person that did it, you go, ‘Okay, maybe not.'”

The show will certainly keep viewers on their toes, however there is a huge air of heartbreak involved too, as some of the bodies are dumped at see by the sick killers.

Lee said: “The hole that’s left in your heart by what’s transpired isn’t ever going to go away, but when you don’t have even a body to say goodbye to, it makes it even worse.

“These sociopaths have taken than away from you. I can’t imagine what the relatives feel like.

“Something they’ll never, never fully recover from, I don’t believe.”
