She was one of the most recognisable faces on the small screen in the mid-90s.
And it’s fair to say the Kirsten O’Brien has barely aged a day as the former CBBC host posed up a storm on holiday. On Thursday (August 29), the mum-of-three, 52, documented her lavish trip to Crete with a gorgeous snap on Instagram.
The blonde bombshell looked effortlessly beautiful as she posed up a storm as the sun set behind her while she sat on a rock by the coast. She could be seen wearing a black and white dress which featured a dramatic floral pattern.

Her off-the-shoulder gown celebrated her trim figure, which she accessorised with a gold pendant necklace and a pair of designer sunglasses. The TV favourite opted for minimal makeup which celebrated her youthful glow.
She popped a touch of blush on the apples of her cheeks and lashings of mascara on her fluttery lashes. Kirsten finished the look with a swipe of nude pink lipstick as she beamed to the camera.
The broadcaster captioned the post: “Ahhh Crete you were wonderful, can we do it all again? #notreadyforwinter.” It didn’t take long before her loyal legion of fans flooded to the comments to shower her with compliments online.
One user gushed: “Gorgeous lady [five heart-eyes emojis]” as another agreed: “You’ve never changed [two heart emojis].” A third echoed: “The real reason I watched SMart [heart-eyes emoji]” as a fourth chimed in with: “Lovely photo of you Kristen [smiling emoji].”
It comes after it was confirmed the former CBBC presenter was taking over from the long-standing BBC Radio Berkshire host Sarah Walker after 18 years on air. Fans said goodbye to mid-morning presenter after working there since 2006.
Kirsten now hosts the mid-morning show from 10am-2pm on weekdays, leaving her breakfast slot after 11 years. Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – Sarah announced: “After 18 amazing years, I presented my last show for @bbcberkshire today.
“It’s been such a privilege to do this brilliant job for so long. Radio is the absolute best but it’s time to try something new for now. See you on the other side of the speaker.”
The former SMart presenter is a familiar face to kids of the 90s, who will recognise her for co-hosting the CBBC art programme between 1999 and 2009. Before that, she co-hosted the continuity links with Otis the Aardvark for three and a half years from 1996.
The blonde beauty previously revealed that she once asked Declan Donnelly out because presenter Fearne Cotton told her to. Kirsten recalled the story during an appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch, revealing she was snubbed by the star.
She chuckled: “He never got back to me!” But the star has moved on from the Geordie hunk, and is now married with a 12-year-old son, Fox Michael Drake and twins born in 2017.
