Celebrity Big Brother star Gary Goldsmith has become the first famous face to get evicted.
The ITV show returned for another episode on Friday night (March 8) for its first-ever live eviction of the series. Fronted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, the pair gave fans a rundown of what’s been happening in the house for the past 24 hours – before announcing the celebrity that was evicted.
Up for eviction this week was Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith and reality star Lauren Simon. But it was Gary who was voted out of the competition.

After AJ and Will confirmed the news he had gotten the boot, Gary quipped: “Well we knew that.” Fans were quick to react to Gary’s exit.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Thank god he’s gone.” Someone else penned: “Bye Gary!” A third viewer watching at home wrote: “Gary has been evicted.
“I’d have loved to see him drop some more secrets in there lol. I wanna know how many votes he got or did everyone forget that it was vote to save whom we wanted to stay.”
Gary was put up for eviction by former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne as part of her “secret mission” when all the celebs joined the house. Revealing her decision at the time she explained: “I think he’s awkward with himself being here.
“I mean, it’s very tough for him. He told me about certain things that had happened in his life today and it’s very hard for him, I think he’s brave to have come in here. But I somehow don’t think this is the place for him. He’s just the oddball out from everybody that’s in here.”
She went on: “It would be (like) if I went into his world and suddenly plunked myself in the middle of one of his board meetings, I’d probably feel the same. So he’s just a little awkward.”
Meanwhile The Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Lauren received the most nominations after her fellow housemates had to pick two people each. Heartstopper star Bradley Riches and Coronation Street legend Colson Smith were just a few of those who put her up for nomination.
