Corrie fans ‘have shivers’ as Leanne’s death ‘sealed’ – but Rowan ‘doesn’t kill her’

Coronation Street fans fear death is on the cards for Leanne Battersby.

The soap legend has found herself embroiled in a dramatic cult, as part of a new storyline. The sinister Rowan Cunliffe lured Leanne to the mysterious “self-improvement group” The Institute – causing her to push away from her family.

Fiance Nick Tilsley and sister Toyah Habeeb have all shared their concerns over Leanne – who ended up getting whisked away for a week to the the institute. She has since made her return to the cobbles – but she hasn’t quite been herself.

And in episodes this week, she was seen speaking to someone on the laptop, telling them she “loves them.” At first, fans thought it was Rowan, with the pair potentially having an affair,

Fans reckon Leanne’s death is ‘sealed’

But in a huge twist, it was revealed to be an AI version of her dead son, Oliver, showing what he would look like now. In a creepy turn, the AI image also spoke and said: “Hello mommy.”

Now, fans think Leanne could be getting killed off. Over on a Facebook Corrie fan page, viewers mused how Rowan could get Leanne to take her own life to ‘be with Oliver’ and sign over her fortune to Rowan.

They said: “I think Leanne is talking to Oliver, the little boy she lost. Obviously Rowan knows all about him and how low she sunk afterward.

“My theory is Rowan will get Leanne to sign papers, which on her death will leave everything she owns to the institute. He’s getting her to the point where she believes she’ll only be happy when she’s back with Oliver, leading possibly to an attempted Suicide.”

They added: “Then that’s when it all falls apart around Rowan’s ears and the institute is proved to be a scam.”

Someone else chimed in and said: “I said I thought it was leading to sacrificial suicide through the pact that is the ‘institution’ think she believes she will be reunited with him.” A third wrote: “Gosh this is giving me shivers…”
