Eamonn Holmes was forced to pull out of his GB News show early after falling ill.
The 64-year-old TV presenter had been hosting the programme with Isabel Webster on Tuesday (July 2), but he left viewers worrying about his health when he disappeared from the studio during the show.
He and Isabel Webster had been discussing Labour’s plans to build over areas of the green belt to assist with the UK’s housing crisis. But he went missing during an interview with Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Mental Health Maria Caulfield.

The former This Morning presenter had been quiet during the segment, with Isabel asking the questions, and seemed to leave his desk while out of shot. GB News didn’t explain his absence at the time but a spokesperson for the show has now confirmed Eamonn was taken ill.
They told the Mail: “Eamonn had to finish a little earlier today as he was feeling unwell. He hopes to be back tomorrow.” Viewers were concerned about Eamonn and many took to X to point out his absence.
One asked: “@GBNEWS where’s @EamonnHolmes gone? No explanation?” A second wrote: “He has just disappeared. Maybe he is unwell.”
It comes after Holmes discussed his health issues at the TRIC Awards, where and Isabel accepted a gong on behalf of GB News for Best Breakfast Show. He admitted he was “not okay” and felt he was “on borrowed time”.
He turned up to the ceremony in a wheelchair and had sticks to support him when he took to the stage. It appeared operations on his spine and hips in recent years had taken their toll.
He explained he felt he was “on borrowed time” as his father had been just a year older than he is now when he died of a heart attack. It had also been uncertain whether or not he would attend the ceremony until he got a new wheelchair.
The TV star, who has been suffering chronic pain, got a double hip replacement in 2016 followed by surgery last year. After this, he suffered poor circulation and cramps and struggled to walk.
He’s also been in agony from 2021 onwards, thanks to three slipped discs. After spinal surgery to improve his back pain, he had a fall downstairs at his home in Surrey and broke his shoulder.
He recently revealed he he might never walk unaided again, but his friends in the industry have shown him their support. Christine McGuinness was seen helping the broadcaster at the TRIC Awards.
