EastEnders fans reckon a return is on the cards for a beloved character.
Back in 2003, Vicki Fowler ( played by Scarlett Alice Johnson) made her debut on the BBC One soap. As the daughter of Dirty Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) and Michelle Fowler (Susan Tully), Vicki caused a stir in Walford during her short but sweet stint.
Mischievous Vicki found herself involved in plenty of major storylines. These include the likes of following in her mother’s footsteps and getting pregnant in her teens.

She also famously had a diverse American accent at the start of her debut, before suddenly switching to British later on in her stint.
However, after nearly two years and 194 episodes, actress Scarlett quit the soap in 2004. Her character Vicki went to join her mother in America. She then reunited with Spencer Moon in Australia where they now run a bar.
But now, fans reckon Vicki could be heading back to Walford in a huge twist – but it seems they all have one complaint.
Over on a Reddit thread, a viewer mused: “Anyone else miss the watts in Eastenders only one left is Sharon maybe they should cast more distant Watts family I wouldn’t mind seeing Vicki returning.” (sic)
Fans were quick to share their thoughts – with plenty choosing Vicki – but joked how they hoped she didn’t have her American accent. One fan wrote: “I think bringing Vicky back could be good. As long as they don’t try and make her do an accent she’ll be fine. But it’s been so long they could even bring in a new actress..”
A third agreed: “Bring back Vicki! Just without that accent.” Another penned: “I’m thinking she’s going to make an appearance next year at some point for the 40th anniversary.”
If Vicki makes a comeback to the soap, she will be joining fellow soap legend Chrissie Watts – who is making her return this year after 19 years. It was confirmed recently that Chrissie will be making a return for a short stint. The circumstances relating to her return are currently under wraps – but there are sure to be fireworks.
On returning to EastEnders, actress Tracy-Ann Oberman said: “Chrissie Watts was such a great character to play – a victim or a villain. She is a real fan favourite so, when Chris Clenshaw asked me to come back and re-visit her and see what has happened in the last 19 years, I jumped at the chance. The scripts are fantastic and I hope the viewers enjoy her as much as I am enjoying playing her again.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
