Lacey’s famous friends and fans rushed to the comments to share their support. “So special! Congratulations angel all of you!! Beautiful x,” wrote EastEnders co-star Jacqueline Jossa. “Congratulations Lacey, Matt and the kids…. Best Wishes for your next addition to your lovely family xx,” added a fan.
“Congratulations to you all Gutted that will also mean Stacey won’t be in EastEnders for awhile x,” said a third. Another added: “Awww congratulations so that means Stacey might be leaving for a bit then”.
Back in 2021, Lacey and husband Matt discussed family life with their daughter Dusty and son Trilby. Matt revealed that having children had “brought us closer together”, while Lacey agreed, reports OK!.
They told the outlet: “You have to be a team. People say when you have kids your life changes and that’s it and it’s over, but we weren’t massive goer-outers anyway so for us it hasn’t really changed our dynamic. I do think it’s brought us closer together and it’s nice to just have a little family unit. We feel stronger together,” she said.
The soap star also spoke about their future family plans and whether they’d like more kids. Lacey said: “I’d still have four. I would be happy with three and I’d be happy with two if this was our lot. We’re so lucky to have the two we’ve got, but I would definitely have more. It definitely won’t be any time soon, though we have our hands full at the moment!”.
Lacey shot to fame in 2004 when she made her Albert Square debut. Since joining the soap two decades ago, she’s been involved in some memorable plots including the famous Christmas storyline involving ‘The Six’ – and her character even became a grandmother in 2023 when her daughter Lily gave birth.
