EastEnders fans reckon they have worked out Pastor Clayton’s next victim – and it’s a Walford legend.
The character, played by Howard Saddler, rocked up to Walford in December last year as the square’s local church leader. However, his character’s true colours have come to light in recent episodes.
Last week, he sexually assaulted Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) after locking her in a storeroom. The pair were at a charity fundraiser which was organised by Yolande herself.

Prior to him assaulting her, Pastor Clayton had been making inappropriate advances towards Yolande for some time. And when he brought it up, he shut her down while gaslighting her in the process.
The assault has since left Yolande devastated – with the ordeal clearly having an affect on her mental health. She has not told anyone, apart from landlady Elaine (Harriet Thorpe).
Meanwhile Pastor Clayton has acted like he’s done nothing wrong. It has also been revealed via flashbacks that Pastor Clayton has a history of abusing women, and has been doing so for decades.
And following an interaction he had in Wednesday’s episode (April 24) with legend Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) on the BBC One soap, fans are fearing she could be next.
At Jade’s leaving party, he cryptically bought Stacey a drink. He then proceeded to quiz her about Jade on her father Dean Wicks, who was recently arrested for the murder of Keanu Taylor.
But following their chat, fans reckon the vile Pastor Clayton has his sights set on Stacey. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “The pastor getting close to Stacey. Stay away!!”
Someone else added: “CREEPY! Pastor Clayton KEEP AWAY FROM OUR STACEY SLATER!” Echoing their thoughts, a third penned: “why is the pastor near ar stace? RUN AWAY STACEY.” Another follower quipped: “Stace would rip his plums off to be fair.”
