Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, is in desperate need of help as she continues to suffer under the abusive and controlling behaviour of Tom King.
Could Wendy Posner be her saviour? Belle discovered she was pregnant but chose not to share the joyous news with her tormenting husband.
The revelation came after a visit to the local GP surgery with nurse Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson), where Belle took a pregnancy test. The result left her visibly shaken.

Under pressure, Belle eventually revealed her pregnancy to Tom during a heated argument with her brother Cain Dingle, when Tom threatened to hit her again.
Despite promising to keep the news quiet, Tom spilled the beans to his aunt Nicola King, uncle Jimmy King and Rhona Goskirk on Wednesday (June 12).
When Belle entered the Main Street cafe, where Tom had shared the news, the trio rushed to congratulate her. However, Tom’s disregard for her privacy was once again hard to swallow.
Later, the couple found themselves back at the GP surgery with Wendy. Tom had taken it upon himself to book Belle’s appointment and insisted that all her appointment details be sent to him, further showcasing his controlling nature.
When the nurse asked Tom to leave the room, he resisted, revealing his true colours once more. Wendy asserted herself, prompting Tom to exit the room. This action resulted in Wendy probing Belle about her mental state.
Exhausted, Belle assured Wendy she was alright, apart from being upset that Tom shared news of her pregnancy widely without her consent.
While brief, this episode lead viewers to speculate that Wendy might uncover Belle’s struggle. One fan tweeted, “I’m convinced that Wendy will be the one to expose Tom because her ex husband was abusive and she is deffo starting to see through Belle”.
“Hopefully fake Nurse Wendy understands what’s going on an raises the alarm”, another viewer concurred. A third added: “Not a fan of Wendy’s but if she helps Belle get rid of Tom I’ll change my mind.”
In reference to Wendy’s ex-husband Russ, one viewer inscribed: “After remembering that Wendy’s husband was abusive I deffo saw this coming ! ! It’s time to take Tom down”. Another opined: “Wendy has worked out about Tom’s gaslighting on Belle.”
A hopeful viewer chimed in: “The nurse (Wendy, I think) is going to be the one to rumble Tom. She is already suspicious of him”, while someone else added: “Wendy has to see through all of this. She’s been though it herself.”
