Emmerdale’s Beth Cordingly has decided to press pause on social media.
The actress, famed for playing Ruby Fox-Milligan on the ITV soap, melted hearts with a video where she snuggled her cat, explaining her need for a temporary break from the digital buzz. Beth kept quiet on what prompted the hiatus but promised her fans it would be just for a “little while.”
In a heartfelt message to her supporters, she announced: “Hi guys, we [Beth and her cat] are having a few weeks away from social media, aren’t we? Sending you all love – I’ll see you on the other side.”

As Beth signed off, her furry black and white friend chimed in with a meow after being coaxed by Beth to say something in the adorable clip.
The star’s social media step-back sparked a wave of good wishes from her devoted fanbase. One concerned follower expressed: “Oh no hope you are OK? Always be you. Don’t let anyone suppress that. Your happiness is so important, don’t let others p*ss on it. Take care lovely,” reports OK!.
While another shared their anticipation for Beth’s comeback, saying: “Aww I will miss your posts. You are such a lovely lady. We appreciate you! I look forward to your return. Much love.”
Fans have been sending their love to Beth after she shared her latest update. “Hope you’re ok, I will miss you, you always make me laugh. Look forward to seeing you again,” one fan expressed, while another added: “Look forward to seeing your posts again when you’re back.”
A third fan sent out: “Sending you lots of love and hugs,” and a fourth chimed in with: “I hope you are okay @beth_cordingly. Enjoy your time away!”
