Emmerdale spoilers tease April death fears, tragic Eric twist and ‘double exit’

There are big twists and turns in store for the residents of Emmerdale.

The ITV soap is gearing up for a huge week of action and drama, as the fate of several characters hangs in the balance. One character could potentially be saying farewell to the village for good.

In new spoilers, April Windsor – played by Amelia Flanagan – is set to have a huge role in the week’s storylines after she was dragged into criminal activity at the hands of new baddie Jade. With April having reconnected with former pal Ross Barton – played by Michael Parr – this leads her into grave danger.

Jade is searching for Ross, believing he is the one who stole thousands of pounds from her in scenes which aired a few weeks earlier. However, while boxing promoter Jade is on the hunt for Ross, viewers know it is actually Mack Boyd who lifted the wonga from her.

April could be about to face the same death as mum Donna

As a result, with Ross not coughing up payments and not taking Jade’s threats seriously, she resorts to dirty tactics and drags April into the mix. After working out the connection between the two, Jade gets malicious and torments April with mortal peril, dangling over the edge of a multi-storey car park praying she will not be thrown off.

To make matters worse for Ross, the area is the exact spot where former flame – and April’s mum – Donna Windsor died a decade earlier. With Jade continuing to press for money, and April’s life at stake, will Ross give into her demands?

Eric’s sudden cash flow is about to take a turn for the worse

In other storylines, Eric is forced to make a heart-breaking confession that sees his entire world crumble around him. With Eric flaunting his new stash of cash to other residents, it appears something more sinister is at hand, and has links to cryptocurrency.

Eric becomes worried when he sees that the cryptocurrency he invested is not showing up in his account, and partner Brenda becomes even more flustered when she finds out there is no money in her bank balance either. Trying to save face, Eric lies and blames the discrepancy on a technical glitch, but that does not stop him from splashing the cash.

Anthony begs Steph to leave the village with him

Soon, he becomes frivolous with the shop’s money and tries to bet on horses, raising the eyebrows of Liam Cavanagh, who tries to step in – leading to a tense clash between the two. Brenda demands answers, with her fearing the worst and suggesting it may be due to his medication for Parkinson’s – leading her to question everything about their relationship and leaving Eric in despair.

On top of all this, two beloved characters could be about to say goodbye to Emmerdale, as Ruby continues to grapple with estranged dad Anthony Fox turning up in the village. After confirming his cancer diagnosis, Ruby is left red-faced, with Steph convincing dad Caleb Mulligan that Ruby and Anthony need to make tracks.

But with Ruby unable to handle the family drama, Anthony decides it is better to clear off out of the village, but asks Steph to go with him for moral support. But will Steph and Anthony leave for good, or can Ruby manage to put things behind them?

Emmerdale airs every weeknight at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
