A Gavin and Stacey lover has warned her fellow fans ahead of the finale.
She wants people to stop filming the Gavin and Stacey cast while they try to shoot the Christmas special in Barry Island. She claims it’s “ruining” Christmas for fans of the show.
Tons of fans have flocked to the set of the beloved BBC sitcom hoping to catch a sneak peek at Nessa, Smithy, Stacey and Gavin during their highly-anticipated return to screens. But Emma Thomas, also known on TikTok as emmathomas340, is calling for people to stop recording videos of the reunion.

She’s pleaded with fans to resist the temptation to snap photos and videos of the episode, insisting that revealing too much online could spoil the finale. She told such fans: “you’re ruining it for everyone”.
On TikTok, Emma shared her “unpopular opinion”, arguing that the farewell episode should be able to be enjoyed without any spoilers. In the clip, Emma said: “All these people that are going down to Barry Island to watch them film Gavin and Stacey – can you please stop posting it on TikTok and filming it.
“Because I want to be able to watch the finale on Christmas Day half in a food coma with my box of chocolates on one side, and an alcoholic drink on the other. Watching it without going ‘oh I seen that on TikTok a couple of weeks ago – someone posted it’.
“Stop it. Stop ruining it for everyone. I want to be able to watch it on Christmas Day, and not be like ‘oh I seen that on TikTok’. You’re ruining it for everyone, and you’re just doing it for a few likes and a few views.”
At the end of the video she claimed “it’s not fair” to spoil the festive viewing experience. The video quickly caught the community’s attention, garnering numerous likes and sparking a lively conversation among fellow enthusiasts.
One agreed, writing: “I don’t understand why people would want to ruin it either.” Another chimed in with: “Totally agree – it’s on Facebook too.”
Joining the consensus, a third exclaimed: “Spot on. Stop it.” Echoing the sentiment with a humorous twist, a fourth fan quipped: “All I hear from this is Pam saying ‘I want to watch it on Christmas Day the way baby Jesus would have wanted to on his birthday’.”
