Good Morning Britain host Trisha Goddard kicked up a fuss in the studio.
The 66-year-old TV star was hosting GMB with Richard Madeley, 68, on Thursday (August 15) and she didn’t hide her true feelings about one story in particular. Trisha complained about the amount of coverage being given to Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.
The Love Island stars, who met on the 2019 series of the ITV dating show, announced they’ve split after five years together. But Trisha clearly wasn’t thrilled to be discussing their relationship.

As the camera panned back to her, she said: “I’m sorry. Sorry, you caught me! Poking my eyes out!”. She seemed to swipe at her producers when she asked: “But do you need 6 stories one after the other about someone’s private life?”
But her co-star, showbiz reporter Richard Arnold, was ready to talk about the split in more detail. He jokingly threatened to walk off set, hinting he wouldn’t mind a swift exit from the programme.
Later on in the programme, Trisha compared Tommy and Molly to King Charles III and the late Princess Diana. Richard had been revealing the online reaction to the split.
A post shared on Domino’s X account read: “Everyone at Domino’s joins the nation in mourning the break-up of Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury’s relationship. Our thoughts and condolences are with them at this time.”
Trisha saw this as a cynical attempt by the company to profit from the split. She said: “Well, I don’t know whether it’s a bad impact or money-making, people making money out of somebody’s misery. I’m sorry, businesses are commenting, it’s about ‘how many more people can we pull into our website'”
She added: “But there’s a real family and there are real people here so my reaction was more about the coverage,” before mentioning Charles and Diana. Silence filled the studio for a moment before Richard concluded: “We’re respecting their privacy… as we wish them all the very best.”
