Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid appeared to get riled up with an ITV guest.
On Tuesday (January 16), the star interviewed Labour MP Jonathon Ashworth alongside Ed Balls. Though, Susanna appeared increasingly frustrated when he refused to answer her question about immigration and the Rwanda policy.
Susann said: “My point is Sir Keir Starmer has already said, even if it works, if you came into power, you would scrap it. And my question to you, from viewers, is why?”

To which he replied: “It’s not entirely clear what Rishi Sunak does think it would work because when he was chancellor, he didn’t think it would work.”
Susanna then responded: “He says he wanted to see whether it would be good value is exactly what you should do if you’re scrutinising some proposal that’s going to cost a lot of money. My question to you is,if it works and stops the boats, why would you scrap it?”
Ignoring the ITV host’s point, the MP said: “But it’s not going to work And we don’t believe we don’t believe it’s going well.”
Getting more frustrated, Susanna directly said: “Yes, but my question is, what if it does? You’re not you are facing a general election this year. And for more than half of voters, immigration is an issue.
“They want something done quite apart from anything else. The human tragedy of people dying in these boats means that there needs to be action. If the Rwanda policy is introduced and works, why would you scrap it?”
Again, he said: “But it’s not going to work.” Repeating herself, Susanna said: “Mr. Ashworth you’re not answering my question. Why did Sir Kier Starmer say that even if the policy worked to stop the boats, then he would scrap it?”
Fans of the show took to X to comment, with one writing: “Keeping on and on trying to get @JonAshworth to answer a stupid question…. Then @gm goes on to show how stopping the smugglers is the way to go! #gmb ridiculous, just stop them… Not spend millions on Rwanda contracts!”
A second added: “They should start these interviews with what is your name, what day is it and what time is it. OK now that we have established you can answer a question that has been put to you can we start the interview. #gmb”
