Hollyoaks fans are set to say goodbye to another character.
Glynis Barber has played gangster granny Norma Crow in the Channel 4 soap since 2022 and has confirmed she’s filmed her final scenes.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (June 5), she shared a snap with co-stars Jamie Lomas, who plays her on-screen son Warren Fox and Marie Fielding actress Rita Simons.

She wrote: “A special day of filming with my two faves, winding up my scenes on @hollyoaksofficial. What a joy working with @jamielomas21 , such a generous and gifted actor and who now has a special place in my heart. And reunited with @rita_simonsofficial who is literally one of my favourite people on the planet.”
Jamie, 49, was quick to comment, writing: “Omg I literally can’t cope. I am going to miss seeing you everyday and I love you so much. Thank you for being the best onscreen partner and always making my days enjoyable. You are so talented and I can’t wait to see what is next for you.”
Soap fans will remember that Glynis and Rita previously starred together on EastEnders as mother and daughter Glenda and Roxy Mitchell. Rita commented on Glynis’ post: “Love you Mummy.”
It comes after Steph Waring , who has starred as Cindy Cunningham in Hollyoaks for almost 30 years, recently shared the heartbreaking moment she said goodbye to show crew after becoming one of the stars to be axed. It has been reported that 20 cast members are being axed from the soap following job cuts after Channel 4’s decision to slash episodes to just three 20-minute editions per week.
Jonas Khan confirmed his exit from Hollyoaks as Zain Rizwaan last month while Hunter McQueen star Theo Graham also recently quit the soap after eight years. Glynis’ on-screens on Jamie is also leaving Hollyoaks.
The actor revealed that his departure from the Channel 4 soap has been on the cards for a while despite reports suggesting he’s leaving due to the recent news about cuts to the show.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 at 7.30pm
