Hollywood bodyguard exposes the real Bella Hadid after working with model

Hollywood bodyguard Simon Newton has confessed what it’s like to work with Bella Hadid.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star, Simon Newton discussed his time alongside the supermodel and lifted the lid on his A-list client. Newton said: “Bella’s great, she’s really good. I did just over two years with her when she came to London. I did London Fashion Week with her and a few other bits and pieces. She’s easy to work with.”

Simon previously worked as a bodyguard for the Hollywood elite, including Michael Jackson, but “gave it all up four or five years ago”. Newton has many stories from his time in the industry and used to work gruelling hours to protect his celebrity clients.

Each day could look different “depending on who you’re looking after and what the day entails”. He explained: “Always awake before them and going to sleep after them, so just depending on what they’re doing that day will dictate yours.

“If you’re going to a fashion show, or someone’s playing a concert or something, once you get there you’ll find yourself there for most of the day.

“When you’re in big contained places for the day it’s not such a big deal – you still have to keep an eye on things though. When you’re out, shopping, meetings, fittings, rehearsals, travelling around all the time, that’s when it gets strenuous because you have to negotiate every site you go to.”

Although his main duty was protecting the A-listers, Simon sometimes found himself “helping out” with odd jobs to make their lives easier: “You do find yourself [getting coffee] just to help out. There are times where I’d always do extra bits and pieces, grabbing bags or whatever.

“Just making life a bit easier, which makes it easier for the bodyguard as well. They’ve got everything they want, they’re happy, but you don’t have to do that.” Since Simon decided to change his career focus, the former bodyguard has set up his own fashion brand Simon Newton London.
