Noel Edmonds is reportedly making a return to our screens – years after his last TV stint.
The former Deal or No Deal host has been hiding himself away from public life for years, with his last public stint coming in the form of I’m A Celebrity in 2018. But now it’s said he is set to make a comeback with a Jeremy Clarkson-style series.
A good pal of Mr Blobby, Noel dominated our TV screens for decades in the 80s, 90s and 00s. But after his time in the Jungle on I’m A Celeb, he steered clear of the limelight, upped sticks and moved to New Zealand to get away from the country.

Now, the presenter has reportedly signed a £1 million deal with ITV to let the cameras in and see what life is like for him on his estate in New Zealand. Producers are hoping to replicate similar success from the likes of Clarkson’s Farm, which chronicles Jeremy Clarkson ‘s newfound farming lifestyle and the hilarity that ensues from it.
Insiders at the channel said they had landed the series with Noel following a ten-month long bidding war. The rumoured show will follow Noel’s life on his vineyard estate, as well as running his 17th century pub and his little-known “positivity” radio station broadcasting to his plants and pets.
Speaking to The Sun, an ITV source said: “Noel’s incredible — and very eccentric — life is going to make TV gold. New Zealand is still struggling with the after-effects of their draconian lockdown laws and execs are hoping that Noel will do for tourism what Jeremy has for British farming.”
The insider added that Noel wants the world to know that he is still around and “hasn’t retired”, before saying that the documentary is a way of showing off the “new adventure” he is taking.
It has since been revealed that production company Potato, best known for their shows such as The Chase and Ninja Warrior UK, will be responsible for making the show. The source added that due to the high demand for Noel, several companies were clambering to produce the show for the channel, signalling a “huge comeback” for the former kids’ TV host.
According to sources, the show is set to hit our screens next year, and currently has the provisional title Noel’s Haven – a reference to his River Haven retreat. Fans of the star will get to see what Noel has been up to ever since he left the UK in favour of New Zealand back in 2019.
In total, Noel and darling wife Liz have shelfed out some £20million on their retreat in the remote village of Ngatimoti. He has bought a total of 12 properties in the area, but locals have been less than pleased – accusing him of “colonising” the town.
