I’m A Celeb’s Tulisa Contostavlos says ‘pally’ campmates could be ‘faking it’ for TV

In a surprising turn of events, Tulisa Contostavlos became the third to be voted out of the I’m A Celeb jungle, visibly shocked by her departure.

As she exited the camp, she confessed to hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly that life in the jungle was “hard” and challenging.

She admitted her excitement for a pizza treat after weeks of surviving on rice and beans. “You’re just going to be more grateful for everything. The food you eat, the people that you love… you don’t realise how good you’ve got it,” she shared with the hosts.

She also described her time in the jungle as “testing”, but maintained that she remained true to herself.

On Tuesday morning (December 3), during her appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, Tulisa revealed more about her experience in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, hinting that not all her fellow celebrities were as genuine as she had been. When Lorraine asked if she had made lifelong friends in the jungle, Tulisa hesitated before responding: “I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life. But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out. Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We’ll see…” she pondered.

Lorraine then questioned the N-Dubz singer about who she would like to see win this year’s show, to which Tulisa responded without hesitation, reports the Mirror.

Tulisa couldn’t help but heap praise on her jungle bestie Oti Mabuse, saying: “Oti is just a pure soul. She’s amazing and people like her are hard to come by.”

The pop star turned reality TV sensation also opened up about her close bonds with Alan Halsall, Maura Higgins and Melvin Odoom during her time in the bush, expressing she’d love to see this trio, along with Oti, make it to the final four.

When the news dropped that Tulisa was evicted, fans were gobsmacked, flocking to social media to vent their disbelief. One gobsmacked supporter posted: “So surprised that Tulisa is the one gone.”

Another added the sentiment: “Tulisa should’ve been a finalist,” while bewilderment continued with comments like: “WHO VOTED FOR TULISA?”

Other fans were gutted, with reactions like: “OMG nooooo not Tulisa!! She didn’t get a proper chance. This makes me so sad,” and views such as: “Tulisa was one of the strongest characters in the jungle this year. There are so many big personalities in there and I feel like we didn’t get to see her shine. Such a shame.”

The shock waves even hit ITV spin-off show Unpacked where Ant and Dec couldn’t hide their surprise. “Really shocked,” they confessed, pondering” “Who saw that coming? Not me!” Highlighting her undeniable presence, Dec described Tulisa as a “big” and “integral” part of the show, with Ant admitting his genuine shock over her departure.

Dec further speculated the difficulty viewers faced at voting time, musing: “It’s so hard to call it this year. There’s people at home going I like them all, I don’t know who to vote for, I’ll vote for this person tonight,” hinting fans may have thought some celebs were safe from the chop.
