Katie Price visited by police as shirtless boyfriend JJ Slater appears at door

Katie Price got a visit from police just days after her airport arrest.

The 46-year-old was arrested at Heathrow airport on Thursday night (August 8) when she landed in the UK after a trip to Turkey. The mum-of-five was released on bail the same evening and, on Friday, she appeared at the Royal Courts of Justice in London for a bankruptcy hearing.

An arrest warrant had been made by a judge after she failed to turn up to a previous hearing. She had flown to Turkey to get a reported £10,000 facelift and had been pictured arriving at a clinic in a white crop top and leopard print tracksuit bottoms.

And new photos taken over the weekend saw a police officer stood on the doorstep of a rented home in Sussex believed to be Katie’s current home. Katie’s boyfriend JJ Slater, who appeared on Married at First Sight UK, appeared shirtless at the door.

The officer stood at the door of the property for several minutes on Sunday (August 11) before she was let inside to speak to Katie. It’s said police spent “several hours” inside the home with details about the visit unknown.

Katie was told in court that she must attend a further hearing relating to her finances – “no ifs or buts”. Judge Daniel Schaffer gave Katie a date of August 27 at 10.30am.

He said: “You have to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no going abroad, no holidays.” Katie said she understood and added: “I will move my diary for it.”

She later asked if she could attend “by Zoom or in a side room”, to which the judge said: “No.” Katie had said she finds it “difficult” in court.

Katie told the court she did not have legal representation, saying: “I have tried to get legal advice but have been charged £50,000 upfront. Obviously I pay 40% of what I earn during bankruptcy and they want me to pay tax and VAT – it doesn’t leave me with money to pay £50,000 upfront for legal representation.

“I’m finding it difficult. I can’t get legal aid as I earn – I don’t know what to do.” She added: “I can’t get legal aid because I earn. I don’t know what to do on this.”

Katie had discussed her impending arrest on social media, writing: “I would just like to thank everyone that has been showing support and compassion to my situation this week with my pending arrest. Despite what has been misreported, I am now in route back from filming my documentary.”

She insisted: “I was never just abroad being ignorant to what’s going on and I stand by the facts, which is that there have been miscommunications here between a number of people here to do with my bankruptcy.

“However now I am returning home from work, and I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary.

I do hope of course for my son’s sake who is with me that they will allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see. Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter, I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal.”
