Kylie admits she changed rehearsals for England game and declares ‘it’s coming home’

Kylie Minogue has declared “it’s coming home!”

The pop superstar is in the UK ahead of her headline gig at BST Hyde Park on Saturday (July 13). And she has confessed she changed plans for rehearsals so she could watch last night’s England game.

The 56-year-old spoke to Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday (July 11) to give listeners the first chance to hear her new single My Oh My. But Zoe, 53, had to ask her about the game, which saw England beat Netherlands 2-1 and progress to this Sunday’s final.

Celebrity Gogglebox star Zoe asked: “Did you watch the footie last night?” And it was a resounding yes from Australian superstar Kylie.

“Absolutely,” she said. “I made sure our rehearsals for Hyde Park was wrapped up by seven on the dot, because we all had to get back and watch it.

“I watched it, loved it, yay! What a vibe.”

Kylie is set to headline BST Hyde Park on Saturday, and the Euros 2024 finale will be on Sunday. Zoe asked: “Have you planned Sunday, where you’ll be for the final?”

Padam Padam songstress Kylie said: “I’ll be in front of the TV. I’m gonna be seatbelt on, buckled in.”

And Zoe couldn’t leave things there, as she asked: “Kylie, is it coming home?” Kylie excitedly replied: “It’s coming home!”

Zoe went on: “Queen Kylie has declared it! We have adopted her anyway as a Brit, and an England fan.

“If Kylie declares it, then it is! We’ll get that message to Gareth Southgate post-haste.”

Kylie is set to bring her legendary music to London this weekend. Joining her on the BST Hyde Park line-up on July 13 are Marina, Anitta, Ella Henderson, Altégo, Tom Rasmussen, ADMT, Fred Roberts, Blusher, Say Now and Grace Gachot.

Speaking of the gig, Kylie said: “I can’t wait to return to BST Hyde Park this summer. My last appearance at this iconic event was in 2015 and it was a truly unforgettable experience.”

And fans will be excited to hear her new track, My Oh My. The song features pop sensations Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo.
