“And I’ve been up most days at 4am running on empty… I’m going to take a social media break as life at the moment is very hard,” added Lauren, who is mum to two-year-old daughter Larose.
The star also mentioned the fact she had lost her second daughter Lorena, with the baby girl passing away just two days after she was born in 2022. “I’m healing and grieving mother and I will never understand some things in life,” she said.
“While trying to be a good person to all and the best mum I can and work and run a home and provide and be strong. We are only human and I feel that right now I have to come off my social media. I hope everyone understands and I’ll be back… Posts are scheduled that will be posted but I’m not active.”
Lauren’s post came shortly after it was reported that she is one of several reality stars to be charged in relation to unauthorised promotions of trading schemes. The charges were brought by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which alleged that individuals named Emmanuel Nwanze and Holly Thompson used an Instagram account that gave advice on buying and selling investments called contracts for difference, without authorisation.
According to the FCA, contracts for difference “are a high-risk investment product used to bet on the price of an asset, in this case the price of foreign currencies”. The watchdog alleged that Nwanze paid stars including Lauren to plug the account on their own Instagram accounts.
Those involved have now been charged with unauthorised communications of financial promotions. Nwanze also faces one count of breaching the General Prohibition under Section 19 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
