Loose Women star Denise Welch revealed her stalker is being released early from prison.
The panellist “feels sorry” for anyone who is now living in fear due to the recent jail shakeups. They discussed the hot topic of the controversial government scheme which is being rolled out across UK facilities.
The new scheme is allowing some prisoners to be released after serving 40 per cent of their sentence rather than the original 50 per cent. Denise said on the show: “I myself have a stalker who is in prison and is being released early.

“I am not allowed to see any of his mental health reports as regards to the progress of his mental health. When I asked ‘Will he be tagged?’ they said ‘Well, that depends if his team decides if that’s encroaching on his human rights.
“So this is what we’re dealing with in this country and I’m glad we’re talking about it. I feel really sorry for anyone who is now living in fear because of these releases.”
This follows the news of a machete thug and a yob who paralysed a baby boy are reportedly included in the the next round of criminals who are to be freed across the scheme.
Violent offenders who have been given under four years jail time along with over 140 lags who were jailed for child cruelty or neglect will also be eligible to take part in the scheme. Plus, 2,200 robbers who landed sentences of under four years will also be eligible for early release.
Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood commented on this to the Commons and said: “We have taken every measure available to exclude offences from this measure. That includes serious violence, sexual violence, offences connected to domestic abuse, terror offences.
She also addressed the release of manslaughter convicts and added: “The offences and the sentences are both taken into account.”
