Love Island in chaos as Maya Jama dealt last-minute blow after ITV shake-up

Love Island presenter Maya Jama has been dealt a harsh blow following an unexpected change to the ITV show’s schedule.

The Love Island host’s holiday with rapper Stormzy was abruptly interrupted, only for her to be met with disheartening news. The 29 year old ex-radio host and now TV star had been enjoying Paris Fashion Week with her beau, looking cheerful as they posed for Louis Vuitton photoshoots.

However, Maya’s break was cut short when she was compelled to fly back to Majorca. The television personality had anticipated hosting another surprise elimination, but this was no longer on the cards after producers decided to scrap the plan at the eleventh hour, as per a report.

An insider revealed: “Following the explosive suck and blow game on Wednesday – shown on Thursday night – basically there is so much going on with the Islanders, execs decided to just let it all play out.”

“Introducing Maya into the scenario with the results of the dumping felt like we’d be interrupting a load of drama while it was in full swing so we tore up the schedule,” they disclosed to The Sun. During Wednesday’s episode, viewers were given the chance to vote for their favourite couples, putting the couple with the least votes in danger of exiting the island, reports the Mirror.

However, some fans were left feeling let down when the voting results weren’t revealed the next day. Thursday night’s Love Island left fans in a muddle, causing quite the stir on Twitter as one viewer moaned: “There was a voting yesterday but did they get to it today? ? ”

While another griped: “The episodes about to end so that means we won’t see the voting results this episode. This episode has been very boring like where are the producers? ? ?”

Chaos erupted in the Love Island villa during an explosive game of suck and blow, with hunky Ayo getting a cold shoulder from Mimi after he puckered up for a kiss with Uma, despite their previous romantic spark fizzling out when Uma’s eye wandered to new lad Will.

Love Island welcomed fresh blood with the entrance of Grace Jackson, known for her past flames with Joey Essex, along with suave HR Advisor Tiffany Leighton. They strutted into the villa just as the original couples were cosying up for breakfast, and wouldn’t you know it, Ronnie can’t help but fancy a bit of what Tiffany’s offering.

Ronnie, who’d been caught up in a love tizzy with Jess White before settling with Harriett Blackmore, didn’t waste time showing his true colours. When Tiffany invited him for a sneaky getaway, she was tipped off about Ronnie’s roving eye fair warning considering he soon planted a smacker on her lips at Casa Amor.

Harriett was quickly sidelined as the semi-pro footballer ditched her to chase after Tiffany. Before rocking up to the villa, Tiffany had her sights set on snagging the “man of her dreams,” and she wasn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers in the process.

She boldly declared, “I’m fit, I’m bubbly, and I don’t care what anyone think.”
