Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague announces split from fiancé and co-star Tommy Fury

Molly-Mae Hague has announced she has split from Tommy Fury after five years together in an emotional statement.

The former Love Island stars, who share daughter Bambi together, got engaged last summer after they started officially dating when they left the villa in 2019. Taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday afternoon (August 14), the 25-year-old broke the news to her 7.9million followers online.

She wrote: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.

“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end. I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter.

“Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority. I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years.

“You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I’ll be back when it feels right.”

The professional boxer, also 25, later took to his Instagram Story to confirm their separation online. He wrote: “I am heartbroken to share that Molly & I have decided to end our relationship.

“The past 5 years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi& I will be forever thankful to Molly for make me a dad. Bambi is our priority. Please respect our privacy, and our families privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time.”

Their separation happened just hours after the mum-of-one shared glamorous snaps about her idyllic getaway, including picture of her stunning lodge on her Instagram Stories.

She appears to have since deleted these posts. It comes after the blonde bombshell admitted she is struggling to cope as a solo parent online.

The reality star opened up about her struggles in a candid confession on her popular YouTube vlog. Molly-Mae regularly updates her fans about her life on her channel which has amassed a staggering 1.86million followers.

The mum-of-one explained how she was struggling to find a life balance as a working mum. She told viewers: “I, to be honest with you, have been not feeling… like, I mean this week has just been a lot of emotions.”

She went on to explain how Tommy is working hard on his audiobook which left her to pick up a lot of the parenting duties around the house. Reflecting on what she claims has been the “most intense” week of her life, she showered the sportsman with praise.

The businesswoman gushed: “He’s done it now, and I’m so proud of him, because I know that was a really big deal to him, but I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week. Actually I’ve been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy’s just been so busy.

“When he’s home from doing work and stuff, he’s so incredible and so helpful. I can’t say any different, like, he’s such an incredible dad, but I have been this week, like, just really… mum life has been mum lifeing.”

Molly-Mae went on to discuss her struggles with motherhood. The TV favourite explained: “I feel like we’re going through a little bit of a challenging phase. Not only with Bambi, but also just with me and trying to juggle a lot.”
