Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s recent silence on each other’s posts has sparked fears that their relationship has hit the rocks.
The couple, who met on the fifth series of ITV’s Love Island in 2019, have been very open about their lives together on social media. Influencer Molly-Mae often shares updates about her day-to-day activities and promotions, while boxer Tommy still posts about him and Molly despite his lack of interest in social media.
However, their fans get worried when the pair go quiet. The pair are currently apart during a pivotal time for the Fury family as Tommy’s brother Tyson Fury prepares for his undisputed heavyweight championship fight with Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.

Tommy is supporting Tyson, while Molly-Mae, the mother of his baby daughter Bambi, is about to head off to Ibiza for her sister’s hen party.
Despite Molly-Mae openly expressing a dislike for boxing, her not being there has fuelled speculation that there may be trouble in paradise. Here, via the Mirror, we’ve looked at the instances where the couple’s posts, or lack thereof, have caused concern.
Dec 2022: A lonely pregnancy
Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about the struggles of pregnancy while her boxer beau Tommy Fury was away training. The influencer, who was heavily pregnant at the time, confessed that she felt left out as other expectant mums enjoyed their ‘dream pregnancies’ with their partners.
“Other women have these dream pregnancies, where they are always with their husband doing baby shopping and cute things, and me and Tommy literally just communicate through FaceTime at this point,” Molly-Mae shared, revealing the loneliness she faced during those months.
She also expressed how stressful it was, saying, “It’s been a stressful last couple of months, because obviously Tommy’s been in camp and I’ve literally been by myself.” Fast forward to August 2023, and the situation hadn’t improved for Molly-Mae.
With their daughter Bambi now seven months old, Tommy moved out again for another training camp, leaving Molly-Mae to manage on her own. The new mum took to her YouTube channel to share her feelings: “Today is a little bit of a… I guess you can say a bit of a sad day in a way, because Tommy has gone into his official camp today.
She added: “He has basically been in camp for the last few weeks but now he has gone into camp where he has essentially now moved out the house for quite a long time now actually.”
‘Chris Brown party gate’
Come November 2023, the drama continued to unfold when Molly-Mae found herself embroiled in what was dubbed the ‘Chris Brown party gate’. Tommy was seen enjoying the high life in Abu Dhabi, partying hard with controversial rapper Chris Brown and soaking up the attention of multiple women.
Fans saw a TikTok video that showed him grinding behind a female who then turns to squeeze his face. Fans slammed Tommy when he shared his own glitzy photo from the UAE trip, attacking him for neglecting family time.
The party frenzy video further fuelled speculation as one Instagram user quizzed him: “Please explain the video circling on social media please.” This brief footage features Tommy and Chris revelling to Talibans by Byron Messia in what looks like a swanky nightclub setting.
A later video displays the duo savouring drinks, while X (formally Twitter) users mocked his boxing skills, jesting that his dance antics were as “out of time” as his punches.
Molly-Mae ditches engagement ring
On the other hand, Molly-Mae was noticeably devoid of her £600,000 engagement ring, choosing instead to delight fans with an adorable clip of herself and their 10-month old daughter Bambi enjoying a little Christmas magic.
She later took to her YouTube vlog, hinting at the turmoil: “I have been going through it in more ways than one. I am hoping, in say about a week, I might be in a place mentally, physically, emotionally where I can start filming some proper content for you guys again and get back on my channel.
Molly-Mae begged fans: “So please bear with me, I am really desperate to come back to you guys.” A source told The Sun: “Molly has made no secret of the fact she doesn’t like it when Tommy parties too hard. This weekend has ended up being a real embarrassment to her.”
“She was mortified when she kept getting tagged in videos while she was just trying to enjoy a festive weekend with Bambi,” they spilled to the publication.
December woes
Molly faced her followers in a Q&A session, where she was inevitably swamped with queries about her love life. She seemed to reveal there was a rocky patch, stating: “Everyone has things they deal with in their relationships or in their own lives, but sometimes it’s slightly tricky when things aren’t always going to be perfect, and things aren’t always going to be sunshine and roses.”
“But when they aren’t you have millions of people giving their opinion on it and talking about it. You can’t have a relationship or a life in the public eye and not expect things to be in the public eye and be spoken about when things don’t always go to plan”.
‘So many problems’
After showing signs of getting back on track, Molly surprisingly spilled some deeper issues which had been troubling their relationship. In an unexpected YouTube video confession, she let slip that Tommy’s required hand surgery had been a sticking point for them as a pair.
Things got real when Molly, sitting side by side with Tommy, spilled the beans: “You’ve been going through it recently haven’t you [Tommy]. Tommy’s had surgery on his hand, he has needed this surgery for as long as we can remember, 2019.
She added: “He had this injury that no one knew about. He didn’t share it with anyone and even with training through the Jake Paul stuff, I wrote a caption on Instagram saying like ‘We went through some really hard times as a family’ and I feel like the injury was just always causing us so many problems and was always there, but we never spoke about it.”
8 May 2024: Birthday snub
Molly-Mae seemed to give her fiancé’s birthday a miss when she didn’t share a tribute to him. Her social media was unusually quiet as her partner celebrated his 25th birthday, despite her history of heartfelt posts in previous years.
Fans with a keen eye noticed that Molly-Mae didn’t acknowledge the special day, even though she usually shares daily updates about her life. Tommy was also silent on his birthday and only shared footage with their daughter 24-hours later.
The proud dad enjoyed a piece of cake with Bambi, one, on his lap. However, Molly-Mae was conspicuously absent from the snaps he posted on his account.
11 May 2024: Molly-Mae’s solo trip
Molly stoked rumours of a breakup after she flew off to Dubai without Tommy. The star had taken a break from her socials for a few days and had also stayed silent over Tommy’s announcement that he will be starring in a comedy movie, called The Debt Inherited, as he transitions from the boxing ring to the big screen.
The reality star returned to social media when she posted clips from her holiday in Dubai, where she stayed at the luxurious Atlantis The Royal hotel. She shared solo photos of herself in the apartment, which also didn’t feature her daughter Bambi, and seemed to suggest that she had travelled to Dubai alone.
14 May 2024: Fight ready
Tommy Fury has been soaking up the sun in Dubai, gearing up to support his big bro Tyson ahead of his blockbuster bout. The young boxer hit Instagram, saying: “The calm before the storm. Ready for the best week, let’s go @tysonfury.”
But Molly didn’t respond to the post and has been silent on social media and YouTube for a whole week, leaving fans baffled about what was going on. One fan posted: “This feels so weird. Where is Molly-Mae guys.”
Another chimed in: “There’s something going on here with him and Molly-Mae and I don’t like it one bit.” The rumour mill continued to churn with every second as another follower expressed a hunch: “Guys, I feel like they have broken up. Something bad seems to have happened and I can just feel it.”
But someone else was quick to defend the lovebirds: “Omg just because they don’t post one another doesn’t mean they’re not together and still madly in love. Everyone needs to butt out.”
15 May 2024: Shut down
Molly-Mae revealed she was off to Ibiza, not Saudi Arabia with the Fury clan. She took to her Instagram stories to flaunt her fresh manicure while getting ready for her sister Zoe Hague’s hen do.
With a cheeky five-word response, she seemed to shrug off the split rumours: “Did someone say hen do? @zoehague.” Her sister spilled the beans, revealing that a squad of 13 ladies were jetting off to Ibiza for a wild three-night adventure.
She penned: “Molly was the main planner along with the help of a few others I’m sure!! So absolutely no doubt it’s going to be incredible! “.
