Naked Attraction star shares how show prevents erections – and it’s not temperature

Naked Attraction fans reckon the Channel 4 show employs some strange tactics to prevent its contestants getting a little too carried away on the show.

From cold studios to time outs, plenty of theories have abounded, but Conor, who starred in series seven of the hit dating show, said it’s all just speculation. And the real reason? Nerves.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star, Conor explained: “I don’t think anyone can get excited in that situation – you’re surrounded by cameras, you’re naked in front of all these people… What’s the last thing that’s gonna happen to you? Arousal. You’d have to have almost a porn addiction to see nudity and get an erection instantly.

“It hasn’t happened because it doesn’t happen. I don’t think they keep it cold on purpose – it’s just a big studio. The lights help, the cameras help, but I think it’s nerves. As men we don’t want to say we’ve physiologically reacted to our nervous system and that sometimes stops things from being as prominent as you’d want them to be.”

The star went on to explain that the adrenaline combined with nerves did get to him – leading to him taking drastic action behind-the-scenes. Conor explained: “The whole idea of ‘I have to take off my clothes’ doesn’t hit you until you’re in the back room. In the beginning you’re like trying to remember everything they tell you.

“[They said] ‘don’t sway from side to side, watch this direction or that direction’. I have a really hard time when I stand still, so I sway from side to side which the camera was not loving. You just focus on trying not to be a weird person – you’re looking at all these vaginas and penises like, ‘I need to tell one of you to go home in the most polite way possible’.

“Then you get in the back and realise your entire nervous system has been pumping you full of adrenaline to keep you aware, and then suddenly there’s no blood left for your penis and you’re in the back trying to beat it like it owes you money, like ‘Don’t do this to me man, not on TV’ but it never listens!”

Meanwhile, Naked Attraction star Hezron Stephenson admitted there’s no procedures at all to stop erections – and he could only use a hand to cover his. He admitted to Daily Star in 2022: ““The scariest bit [of appearing on the show] was getting my willy out and getting a semi on on TV. That was probably the worst bit!

“There’s nothing in place to prevent it, just my hand apparently! It wasn’t cold [in the studio] at all. I was a little bit hungover as well, so that was the most embarrassing bit.”

For Conor, though, the show worked as a launchpad to start his own animal sanctuary after raising funds through OnlyFans – and he’s more than willing to bare his bum to save some horses.
