Netflix fans can’t stop watching one super sexy miniseries.
Over in the Netflix Bangers group on Facebook, one person told the members they’d “just started watching” as Obsession fans gathered to share their thoughts on the series. One person said: “It’s steamy and romantic,” while another said: “I loved it and was not expecting the ending.”
Someone else added: “Ending was crazy…a must watch,” a second streamer branded it “the best” while a third typed: “I cried at the end, it was so sad.” Despite the rave reviews, one person quipped: “It’s got the worst sex scenes I’ve ever seen [laughing emoji].”

A description for the show reads: “A man’s desperate obsession and scandalous love affair. He is a man who appears to have everything: wealth, a beautiful wife and children and a prestigious career, but his life lacks passion and his aching emptiness drives him to an all consuming and ultimately catastrophic relationship with his son’s fiancée.”
The British erotic thriller was co-written by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm and Benji Walters. The storyline is based on the novel Damage by Josephine Hart, which was released in 1991.
Obsession was released as a miniseries back in April 2023 and stars Charlie Murphy, Richard Armitage, Indira Varma, Rish Shah and Pippa Bennett-Warner. Although some Netflix fans have offered rave reviews for the series, many TV critics had a negative reaction to the steamy show.
Elsewhere in Netflix news, streamers have been enthralled by a brand new thriller they’ve dubbed “better than Squid Game”. Fans on X/Twitter have been gushing over The 8 Show, which follows eight people trapped in a building as they accumulate money as time passes.
Someone said that the show is “insane” and that the Korean television industry “never disappoints,” while others said the opening scenes were “too excellent” and they were left “mesmerised”. Some people also couldn’t stop watching: “Just finished binge-watching #the8show (2024) and this show was really excellent, like a real black comedy thriller as well as a psychological drama.”
“The ending was a bit lame but the artistic direction was insanely amazing.”
