Netflix fans are blown away by one “masterpiece” series they’re recommending over Jennifer Lopez’s new film.
Over in the Netflix Bangers group on Facebook, streamers gathered to discuss the sci-fi show that has been hailed as “brilliant” and “addictive” by fans.
One poster typed: “If you liked Atlas, then you must also watch Lost In Space [smiling emoji].” More Netflix fans gathered in the comment section and gushed: “An absolute masterpiece of a reboot, this show [is] how it should be done.”

Someone else wrote: “Absolutely, was a banger,” while a third person added: “I was so sad when it ended, wish it was longer.” Streamers did not hold back when it came to discussing JLo’s new film, with one person even questioning “who the hell liked Atlas”.
One savage comment read: “You can’t compare Lost In Space to Trashlas (Atlas)…That’s so disrespectful.” Another Facebook user typed: “Enjoyed it and would be great to see [Lost In Space’s] return with a new series or three. Absolutely no chance of me watching Atlas…nil.”
Lost In Space is a 2018 sci-fi series that follows the adventures of a family of space colonists. Their ship becomes lost after diverting from the course and is an adaptation of the TV show from 1965.
The series is also reportedly inspired by The Swiss Family Robinson and the comic book Space Family Robinson. Netflix released the show back in 2018 and it was renewed for a second season, which later premiered back in December 2019.
Lost In Space’s third and final season was released to Netflix streamers back in December 2021. Set in 2046, the Robinsons are forced to evacuate their ship as they crash on a habitable planet nearby and attempt to navigate their way back to the vehicle.
JLo’s new project Atlas was recently released on the streaming platform to mixed reviews. The sci-fi film stars Lopez alongside Simu Liu, Sterling K Brown and Mark Strong.
Jennifer plays the protagonist Atlas Shepherd, who has a strong disliking for AI but must learn to work with it. A synopsis reads: “A brilliant data analyst with a deep distrust of AI finds it may be her only hope when a mission to capture a renegade robot goes awry.”
