Piers Morgan breaks silence on ‘outrageous’ interview with naked Alec Baldwin protester

Piers Morgan has shared the real reason why he interviewed a naked protestor after he was accused of “humiliating” her.

The 59-year-old TalkTV star had a chat with performance artist ‘Crackhead Barney’ on his show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, recently. ‘Crackhead Barney’ hit headlines and became a viral moment on social media after she was seen heckling actor Alec Baldwin.

In the online clip, the internet troll appeared to harrass Alec in a coffee shop in New York. Filming her encounter, ‘Crackhead Barney’ demanded the Pearl Harbour actor to say “free Palestine” while questioning the fatal rust shooting incident where cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot dead while on set.

Following the weird confrontation, which saw Alec attempt to remove the camera phone from ‘Crackhead Barney’s’ hand, Piers wanted to find out her motive by offering her a chance to share her version of events on his show. But the shocking interview didn’t go as planned as Crackhead Barney- who appeared half naked with white paint on her face and crutches- shouted over Piers.

The performer, who is accusing Alec of assault, told Piers: “What did I do to Alec Baldwin? Piers, do you see the damage that Alec did to me? Do you see the damage? Look at my arms! Look at my arms, Piers! Look at my neck! I was maimed by a white man on Monday!”

She then proceeded to label Piers “another white devil” after he insisted she wasn’t “maimed”. In the interview, she also demanded Piers to say “free Palestine”.

Piers said: “You don’t have to shout at me, we can have a civil conversation. She then replied “Piers f***ing Morgan. What’s wrong with saying Free Palestine? Piers, can you say ‘free, free Palestine’ for me.”

But the awkward exchange left fans complaining with some saying Piers humiliated her. Taking to X, one user said: “Check out Piers Morgan inviting someone who’s clearly unhinged onto his show just to ridicule her, as if it proves he’s somehow superior or in control. He completely humiliates her, turning the whole thing into a joke. This is a new all-time low for high.”

Replying to the comment, Piers said: “I invited her on because she harassed Alec Baldwin in a cafe in a clip that went viral, and in which she didn’t sound unhinged, just nasty. Her behaviour with me was entirely performative and does the pro-Palestinian cause no good at all.”

On Thursday (April 25), Piers admitted that the interview was “pointless”. He said: “It didn’t go well. In fact, it was probably the most outrageous, absurd, shocking and ultimately pointless interview of my entire career.”
