Ruth Langsford has broken her silence after her split from Eamonn Holmes as she posted on social media for the first time.
The Loose Women host, 64, shared a cute clip of herself to her legion of fans as she took her dog for a walk in the park. As Ruth soaked up the bank holiday sun, she gave fans a glimpse into her life as she took her little dog Maggie out for some exercise.
Captioning the mini video, Langsford penned: “Enjoying the little bit of sunshine we got today!” She also added the word: “Maggie!” separately, before adding a gorgeous red heart emoji on top.

Ruth uploaded another video to her social media channels of her furry baby. This came as Ruth’s mum Joan indulged her in a slew of cuddles and kisses in the heartwarming video.
The loving videos are a far cry from Ruth’s own life following the announcement of her split from former partner Eamonn Holmes. The pair went public with a joint statement on Sunday (May 26) confirming they would be splitting after 14 years of marriage and even longer being in a relationship.
According to the Sun, the Northern Irish broadcaster has already moved out of the mansion the couple had shared. However, signs of trouble in paradise had been visible, as the couple had not been seen together in public for two years.
Eamonn and Ruth had attended the 2022 TRIC Awards, in what was the last public appearance of the duo as a couple. While walking down the red carpet, the pair were beaming with smiles for the cameras, but afterwards the former This Morning presenters left the event in separate cars.
As a result of the grief the split has caused her, it’s reported Ruth will not be making any appearances on Loose Women this week. However, Holmes is due to be returning to his primetime slot on GB News on Monday (May 27).
Speaking on the couple’s divorce, a source close to the pair told The Sun: “Eamonn is always frank on camera and knows it will be odd for him to discuss the day’s news without mentioning his split so he’ll say a few words. He is putting on a brave face and will be the true professional he always is – focusing on work will be a welcome distraction.”
In the couple’s joint statement, which was released to the newspaper, they confirmed their marriage was “over” and that they had been in the “process” of divorcing. The statement came as a shock to many fans, while others had spotted small signs something was wrong.
Langsford had seemingly shown her frustrations as she took to look after her ex-husband’s multiple health issues. She eventually was forced to make a statement clarifying her decision to use the words “fed up” with Holmes during his struggles – as he started to resort to using crutches and a wheelchair to move about.
