Rylan Clark tickled viewers as he struggled to eat a cow’s stomach on his BBC travel show, retching and exclaiming he was going to “be sick on the table”.
The TV star is on the road in Italy with close friend Rob Rinder, with the pair exploring the country’s art and treasures. In the latest instalment of Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour they stopped at a restaurant to sample some of the local delicacies.
However, when they discovered that cow’s stomach was on the menu, Rylan insisted: “I won’t be eating it.”
“I ain’t eating foot, I ain’t eating stomach and I ain’t eating a***hole,” he said.

Rob was up for giving it a go but Rylan could barely watch as he tucked in. Holding his head in his hands, he retched as Rob said he should try it.
“Can I have a minute?” he asked. “I don’t know if I can put this in my mouth Rob, I really don’t know if I can. I think I’ll be sick, I will be sick on the table.”
However, he agreed to sample the tiniest sliver, holding his nose as he popped it in his mouth and moaned: “I don’t like the texture!” “Just eat the damn thing!” Rob exclaimed, giggling as Rylan gagged. “You are so bonkers!”
The tiny morsel proved to be enough for the presenter, who put his fork down after his bite. “I can’t have any more of that,” he said. “I’m sorry, I’m in a state.” Teasing him, Rob asked: “Are we not having liver?”
“You can f*** off!” Rylan replied.
Viewers were amused, confessing they laughed so much at Rylan’s plight that they actually cried. “The cow’s stomach tasting scene had me in tears,” one said on X.
Another posted: “Crying with laughter at Rylan trying to eat cow’s stomach in Florence. Poor Rob!” Someone else said Rylan’s response got them thinking he would be fun to watch on another show that involves some rather stomach-churning meals. “Rylan’s reaction to the cow stomach meal really makes me wish to see him do I’m A Celebrity,” they said. “He would be hilarious during the food Bushtucker Trials.”
