Two School of Rock stars look totally unrecognisable decades after starring alongside Jack Black in the iconic comedy movie – and they’ve found love together.
Caitlin Hale played singer Marta in the iconic kids’ film, while Angelo Massagli played security guard Frankie in the movie. They’ve been together since at least 2018 after meeting on-set way back in 2003. Now the couple regularly pose up a storm on Instagram together.
The movie followed a bunch of school kids rallied together by their rocker teacher to form a band and win Battle of the Bands to fulfil his own dream – with plenty discovering they have a musical talent in the class. It also starred breakout star Miranda Cosgrove, who went on to star in iCarly.

In one sweet post, the pair could be seen on a boat wrapped in winter coats, with Caitlin teasing her blonde hair into elegant curls that cascaded around her shoulders – a far cry from her brunette plaits in School of Rock. Angelo tucked himself up in a charcoal coat and grinned at the camera, now sporting a dark beard.
They wrapped their arms around each other in the wintery post – but the pair also suit the summer season too, with Caitlin slipping into a green floral gown and Angelo looking dapper in a crisp white shirt and navy trousers as they stood on a jetty.
The pair soon went viral on TikTok, where fans couldn’t believe how different they looked. One penned: “This is so cute!” As someone else agreed: “One of my favourite movies and I love that a love connection was made. How about that!”
“They look great together,” somebody else said. A fourth social media user penned: “No way!! He looks really different.”
Sadly, though Caitlin and Angelo found love after filming, things didn’t end well for some of the other stars. Kevin Clark, best known as drummer Freddy in the film, sadly died in a fatal cycling collision in 2021. He was cycling in Avondale, Chicago, late at night when he was hit by a car.
The star was just 32 years old, after finding fame aged 13 as Freddy. The car driver – a 20-year-old woman – was issued with several citations and refused a DUI blood test at Illinois Masonic Hospital, which resulted in an automatic license suspension.

At the time of Clark’s death, his co-star Jack Black was one of the first to pay tribute to the star, writing: “Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community.”
While his mum Allison Clark said: “He loved music. He’s just a raw talent. He’s got a heart of gold.”
