Lukas Gage explained: “If you love the first movie, you’re gonna love this one. It’s so terrifying. It was the first time I’ve ever been on a set where I was genuinely afraid and I actually got sick to my stomach in one take. I didn’t think I would, I just – it was so gory and disgusting!” Gage then admitted that he “vomited off-camera” while filming.

In the comment on the YouTube video for Smile 2’s trailer, fans shared their excitement over the second instalment in the franchise. One said: “Gotta admit, that scene with what looks like her background dancers coming at her simultaneously in the narrow hallway looks really cool.”
