EXCLUSIVE: Miranda’s sidekick Sarah Hadland said she has ‘never experienced anything like’ Strictly, with insiders claiming the bubbly actress could ‘become a household name in her own right’
Strictly’s surprise star Sarah Hadland is set to become this year’s biggest winner.
The relatively unknown actress, 35, had already been inundated with job offers ahead of last night’s finale. And TV sources predict Miranda’s little side-kick will now become a big TV star in her own right. Blind comedian Chris McCausland went into last night’s final as the bookies’ biggest ever favourite in Strictly history.
But industry insiders claim Sarah could see the biggest career rise out of all the finalists. Our Entertainment insider said: “All four finalists will obviously see their career opportunities increase off the back of Strictly.
“But Sarah could see the biggest jump in terms of becoming a TV star household name.
“Strictly fans have fallen in love with her bubbly personality and that hasn’t gone unnoticed by TV execs and BBC big wigs.
“Sarah has been the surprise hit of this year’s series.
“Not only did she win fans over with her dancing, she also won them over with her personality.
“She will be bombarded with a wide range of TV opportunities.
“Film parts, her own comedy series and a book offer could also be on the table.
“She now has the opportunity to step out of Miranda’s shadow and become a household name in her own right.”
Sarah and pro partner Vito Coppola, 32, last night battled it out against Chris, 47, JLS singer JB Gill, 38, and former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri, 26.
Speaking ahead of last night’s grand finale she said: “I’ve been in the industry for 30-years and have never experienced anything like this.
“I feel like I’ve stepped into a parallel universe.
“Lots of things have been coming into my agent that wouldn’t have happened before Strictly.
“It’s nice people are finally getting to know me for me.”
Sarah recently revealed she was working on her own dancing comedy series. The project could now get the green light by BBC bosses who are keen to keep her on the channel. Sarah said: “I’m writing a comedy series about a dance teacher.
“I would love Miranda to have a part and of course Vito would have to be in it as a hot dance instructor.”
An estimated 10 million fans were expected to watch last night’s final.
