Strictly Come Dancing contestant Sara Davies has opened up about her time on the BBC show.
As the show has become embroiled in chaos, including back-to-back misconduct and bullying claims, the series can’t seem to catch a break. However, Sara has explained that it was actually one of the “happiest” times of her life.
In 2021, Dragons Den star Sara joined the dancing programme and was partnered with professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec. And as multiple stars have come forward to complain about their partner – Sara couldn’t wait to do the opposite.

This comes as Aljaž has been announced to return to the BBC show this year, after leaving to spend more time with his Strictly pro wife Janette Manara and their baby daughter, Lyra.
When speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, after her new Avon UK appointment, Sara opened up about her time on the show and the amazing relationship she built with her partner.
Sara said: “As a trainer and mentor, he was absolutely off the chart. I think the reason I had such a phenomenal experience is because his whole raison d’etre on the show was me having an amazing time. I felt I was never going to be a contender to get to the final or the semis.
“I just wanted to make the most of the time that I had. So he put all of his energy into making sure I enjoyed every minute. I loved all the time that we had in the rehearsal room, and because we were up North, and I had to fit around my schedule, we had to work really funny hours. Whatever I needed, he used to be there with a big smile on his face ready for a cup of coffee at six o’clock on a morning when we got going. It was just fabulous. It was honestly one of the happiest times of my life.”
We also Sara about her new Avon appointment, as she was named the cosmetics brand’s first Chief Inspiration Officer. She added: “It’s a such a great opportunity to work with new and existing Avon Reps who have the hunger to build and run their own business, on their own terms.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to share my passion for entrepreneurship. And as part of the role, I’m mentoring Avon Reps and offering tailored advice on how to be their own boss, grow their businesses and also lead a team. I’ve already met and worked with lots of Avon Reps and Leaders across the UK. I’m honestly so inspired and impressed by their smart thinking and perseverance – so many are building talented teams with some earning six-figure salaries.”
