Taylor Swift forced to strip as extreme weather causes on-stage wardrobe blunder

Taylor Swift was forced to switch up her Eras Tour wardrobe after the biting Scottish winds proved too much.

The 34 year old songstress has just finished a series of Eras gigs at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, where the nippy Scottish weather was apparently a tad too brisk for Taylor. On the first evening, Tay rocked out in the same get-up she’s been flaunting since her Paris performances last month for her The Tortured Poets Department segment.

However, by the second and third nights, Swift added a new twist to her TTPD ensemble. Echoing the garb she donned at the Grammys when she dropped the bomb about her album release, Swift has now slipped on some sleek black gloves to complete her look.

During the opening show, Taylor hit a snag when her digits seized up mid-performance. She paused the gig as her hand “frozen into a claw”, confessing it was a first-time mishap. While strumming her guitar during the acoustic set, her hand seemed to lock up.

Before belting out another tune, Taylor exclaimed: “Oh God! Hand cramp! ” She then shook and waved her hand in the air, apologising to the crowd: “I’m so sorry everyone, this has never happened before but my hand is frozen, I’m just going to warm it. I’m so embarrassed. My hand’s like a claw! “.

It appears that the gloves have been introduced for the TTPD section of the show to allow Taylor to warm up her hands before her acoustic set where she plays the piano and guitar. Taylor has now concluded the Edinburgh shows, and will soon be travelling down the country. Later this week, Taylor will be in Liverpool performing at the Anfield Stadium for three nights (June 13, 14, 15).

Taylor has been touring the UK performing her Eras anthems

Moving onto Wales a couple of nights later, Taylor will then perform one show on June 18 at the Principality Stadium. Just days later, Taylor will then perform another trio of shows at London’s Wembley Arena on June 21, 22, 23, before heading further afield throughout Europe.

Taylor won’t stay away from UK soil for too long, with the star due back in the capital for a further five sold-out shows in August, with the singer taking to the stage on 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 of the month.
