Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ April star ‘ageless’ as she wows 32 years on

One of the most iconic stars of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has not aged a day since the film was released.

More than 30 years on from the original film, actress Judith Hoag looks exactly the same as she did when she shot to fame playing April O’Neill. Taking part in the movie, April was one of the only humans involved in the story, which was released in 1990.

At the time, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became a box office smash, as kids and sci-fi fans alike fell in love with the four turtles saving the world from baddy after baddy. But fans also took a liking to April, as she was witty and was able to stand her ground, inspiring many young girls to be like her.

April would be an integral part of the story, appearing in comics, a TV show and sequels to the original film. However, despite the huge commercial success of the movie, actress Judith failed to win over execs and she was given the boot, instead replaced by Paige Turco.

Now, 34 years on from the original film, Judith looks as if she has not aged a day as a new picture of the star emerged. Judith, now aged 61, looks more youthful than ever, and has kept her iconic auburn hair to complement her look.

The actress has been able to keep a hold of a dedicated fanbase, with many intrigued about her career as she moved on from Hollywood fame. Many fans have pleaded with her to make a return to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, as they demanded that film tycoons bring her back.

In the snap, she posed with a bright smile as she beamed to the camera. She looked classy and glamorous in the photo, with her iconic locks styled in thick waves with layers to show her glitzy ensemble.

She also looked glam as she sported a black blazer overcoat, together with a host of golden jewellery including a choker and a circular necklace to add an extra touch of class to her already fabulous outfit.

Judith’s career has also not slowed down since her stint on the legendary sci-fi series. Landing roles for both television and film, some of her most notable appearances have been on the likes of spookfest Hallooweentown, and thriller Armageddon.

In recent years, Judith has appeared in a host of other small-scale projects such as The Magicians, but was initially eyeing up a return to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles world in 2016. She was set to make a cameo in the newest instalment in the franchise, acting together with the new April – Megan Fox.

However, despite having filmed the scenes, Judith’s cameo was cut from the final movie – mean her long-awaited return never happened. But fans – and production staff – have all called for Judith to make an appearance in the next film, with writer Tom Waltz declaring in an interview with Screen Rant: “My dream is for the lovely and talented Judith Hoag to be a part of something we do in other media for The Last Ronin.”
