The Chase turned award as celebrity contestant Hollie Arnold suffered a major name blunder.
The Paralympian appeared on the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! special of the ITV quiz show, which was repeated again for fans on Sunday (July 21) night.
Javelin champion Hollie and her former campmates AJ Pritchard, Giovanna Fletcher and Russell Watson tried their luck against Paul Sinha, known as The Sinnerman as they tried to raise as much money as possible for their chosen charities.
In her cash builder round, Hollie was asked “In 2019, which boxer beat Andy Ruiz Jr to reclaim his heavyweight world titles?,” to which she hilariously answered: “AJ Pritchard.”
She quickly repeated his name through laughter as she pointed at the dancer sat behind the contestants panel as Giovanna and Russell laughed on.
“I meant to say AJ!,’ she exclaimed, meaning Anthony Joshua – who uses his initials as a nickname. AJ laughed: “I’ll take it anyway” as the round ended, with host Bradley Walsh interjecting: “You’re getting your AJ Pritchards mixed up with your Anthony Joshuas.”
The Sinnerman joked: “Not only are you a world champion javelin thrower, you’ve created a world champion boxer in seat one.” Hollie earned a respectable £3,000 during her cash builder, but opted to take a lower offer of £1,000 to make it back to the team.
The full team made it through to the final where they were playing for a total cash pot of £72,000.
However, Hollie didn’t answer a single question in the final round and the team were caught with just eight seconds remaining on the clock. Bradley told them each would still get £1,000 for their chosen charity.
The Chase airs weeknights on ITV1 at 5pm
