John Krasinski has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive.
The actor, who is best known for his role as Jim Halpert in The Office and Lee Abbot in the A Quiet Place franchise, was given the award for 2024 but the Hollywood star admitted he thought he was being “punked” when he found out.
He spoke to People about the win and revealed his wife Emily Blunt was “very excited” about the title: “There was a lot of joy involved in me telling her.”

However, John’s own reaction to the news the polar opposite to Emily’s: “Just immediate blackout. Zero thoughts. Other than maybe: ‘I’m being punked.’ That’s not how I wake up, thinking: ‘Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me!”

Blunt is reportedly planning to use his Sexiest Man Alive cover snaps as wallpaper all over their house, to which Krasinski replied: “Do we have that [response] on camera? Because that’s like a binding contract, I think. My children will love that, it won’t be weird at all.”
John and Emily, who is known for her iconic role in The Devil Wears Prada, have been married since 2010 and live in Brooklyn. The pair have two daughters, Hazel and Violet.

The Jim Halpert actor also discussed his family: “It’s that beautiful thing where when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving, and I’m so lucky to go through all that with her.”
“I think [the Sexiest Man Alive award is] going to make me do more household chores. After this comes out she’ll be like: ‘All right, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home!”

The Hollywood couple starred alongside each other in the 2018 thriller A Quiet Place, set in a post-apocalyptic America and follows a mother and a father as they struggle to survive while raising their children in a place inhabited by blind alien creatures with a fool-proof sense of hearing.
A Quiet Place was a major hit and has spawned multiple sequel films, but the thriller actually received multiple Hollywood rejections before it was given the go-ahead.
