This Morning viewers floored at iconic Two and a Half Men star’s real accent

This Morning viewers were floored after finding out Melanie Lynskey’s real accent.

The Two and a Half Men star has had many roles over the year but in Thursday’s (April 11) interview with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary so revealed she was finally able to complete a role in her actual accent.

Melanie is from New Zealand and has a strong Kiwi accent – despite fans assuming she was American after being best known for the US sitcom. Fans took to social media to share their thoughts online.

One said: “She’s a Kiwi?! I didn’t know that! #ThisMorning” A second added: “Aaaaah, it’s her from Yellowjackets! Had no idea she wasn’t American! #ThisMorning”

Melanie said: “I had not read the book. I remember telling a friend, you know, I got asked to do this thing. And she said, Have you not read that book? And I was like, No, I haven’t. She was like, Oh, I thought everyone had read it. And so I read the book after I had read the screenplays, but that was the screenplay.
