This Morning’s Ben Shephard begs ‘not yet’ as cheeky guest takes off clothes

This Morning was thrown into chaos as host Ben Shephard begged one of the guests not to take their clothes off.

Ben and co-star Cat Deeley were joined in the studio by LBC’s Nick Ferrari as they discussed “beach bodies” and preparing for summer. After discussing fad diets and ways to lose weight, conversation turned toward Ferrari’s figure as they joked about Nick stripping off.

As the radio host joined in with the chat, Nick jokingly said he was going to remove his shirt and began fiddling with the buttons that ran down the front. The This Morning crew were in stitches as Ben raised his hands and begged: “Not yet!”

Elsewhere in the segment, Deeley cheekily asked viewers if they were “oiled up” in a saucy quip regarding fans’ summer beach prep. ITV viewers gathered on X/Twitter to share their thoughts on the segment and many found the topic to be rather inappropriate.

One fan slammed the morning talk show and quipped: “Weren’t you just talking about kids being influenced by their parents and you’re now talking about dieting and being beach body ready? Starving yourself? Totally irresponsible,” while someone else simply asked: “What is beach perfect?”

A third person typed: “Another fad where people have to feel the need to look a certain way.” Someone else assured This Morning viewers that “if they have a body” and they “choose to visit the beach,” that means “they are beach ready”.

This Morning also recently hit the headlines after Cat cried over rugby player Rob Burrow’s final message. The sports star had been battling motor neurone disease and in his parting video, Rob urged viewers to make the most of everyday.

Deeley was left with a lump in her throat as the camera cut back to the studio. She fought back tears as Burrow ended with: “Rob Burrow, over and out.”

Shephard said that the clip was “powerful” before asking Deeley if she was okay. While holding back tears, Cat said “no” with a smile as her voice cracked.

Deeley then addressed the camera and said: “Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things we’ll ever have to go through, which is why Deirdre is here to help you manage your grief today.” Deirdre explained her phone-in section and offered her help to This Morning viewers as they struggle with personal loss.

Over on X/Twitter, Burrow’s fans shared farewell messages for the rugby player as one person tweeted: “This genuinely had me in tears; what a moving final message. Rob really was and is an incredibly inspirational man […].”
