Her eye-catching ensemble included Doc Martens and neon nails which made her stand out from the crowds at the exclusive music event. The former child star is now a mum to her eight-year-old daughter Avarie-Belle and two-year-old son Rowan.
In a 2022 interview on the From Early YouTube series fellow actress Holly Gibbs, Harmer debunked several misconceptions about herself. Responding to Gibb’s inquiry about early fame misconceptions, Harmer clarified: “Yeah I think that everyone assumes that I’ve taken loads of drugs at some point and ended up in rehab, which I’ve never done guys. I’m probably the only child star who has never done any of those things.”
Confirming her pristine reputation, she proudly stated: “I am squeaky clean, and proud of it thank you”, as reported by OK! The Tracy Beaker spin-off series star, who is known for playing the grown-up version of the popular character, unveiled the harrowing truth about fame, confessing: “I get really weird trolling messages all the time and it’s draining – and I’m 33 – so I don’t know what my younger self would’ve been like, I probably would’ve quit!”
Dani Harmer, best known for her role as Tracy Beaker, stole the show on Strictly Come Dancing in 2012 alongside dance partner Vincent Simone, bagging a respectable fourth place.
In a candid chat with the BBC, she drew upon her experiences transitioning from successful child star to motherhood and reflected on how these events have influenced her parenting style: “I kind of realised how important it is to enjoy being a kid! As much as I wouldn’t change my childhood for anything, I did miss out on things like going to friends’ birthdays, going to sleepovers. Prom – I never did that. I missed out on quite big milestone moments, so I’m very aware of that with my daughter, and I will do with my son when he gets a bit older.”
She further underlined the significance of celebrating the innocence and bliss of childhood: “Now, I am really conscious of letting her be silly, talking about bums because she finds it hilarious, just stuff like that – because it is such a magical, exciting time before you reach being an adult – which sucks!”
